چکیده
Aim . Evaluate the overall effectiveness of cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) therapy in patients with chronic heart failure various etiology. Methods The study included 61 (NYHA class II-III), ejection fraction 20-40% and narrow QRS <130 ms, who were implanted CCM devices. Depending on etiology failure, ischemic cardiomyopathy prevailed (41 patients). All performed echocardiography, 6-min walk test Minnesota Living Heart Failure questionnaire (MHFLQ). Results. observation period was 25 months. 54 significantly improved left ventricular from 32.2% to 37.6% (?=0.026) volume parameters (left ventricle end systolic 150 137 ml (?=0.034), diastolic 220 201 (?=0.044), reduced NYHA >1 29 (53.7%) (?=0.015), increased 265 343 m (?=0.029), MHFLQ 46.1 35.8 (?=0.042). Non-ischemic associated significant improvement (from 42.7 30.3, ?=0.029) lowering class>1 (83.3%, vs 47.2%, p=0.012) compared group. Conclusion. is safe effective II-III, 20- 40% QRS?130 Results Conclusion ms. class.

Cardiac contractility modulation in patients with advanced heart failure.
Cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) is a novel device-based therapy for heart failure that involves applying electrical signals during the absolute refractory period of the myocardial action potential. This therapy has been shown to augment the strength of left ventricular contraction independent of myocardial oxygen consumption in animal models as well as human studies of patients with hear...
متن کاملSkin manifestations of patients with chronic renal failure on long-term hemodialysis
Background: There are several reports of different cutaneous manifestations in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) managed by repeated hemodialysis, in the literature. Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of skin manifestations in patients suffering from CRF who are on long-term hemodialysis. Patients and Methods: The skin manifestations of 108 CRF patients who u...
متن کاملModulation of cardiac contractility. A potential treatment of heart failure?
During the last 10 years, electrical treatment of heart failure (HF) has become more and more popular. Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), alone or combined with defibrillation, has been confirmed to be effective in patients with moderate or severe HF and ventricular dyssynchrony, manifest as a QRS duration .120 ms, though its effectiveness has not been confirmed in patients presenting wit...
متن کاملPentraxin-3 Predicts Long-Term Cardiac Events in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
The aim of this study was to investigate the long-term prognostic value of pentraxin-3 (PTX3) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). 377 patients were prospectively followed up for 3 years to determine cardiac events including cardiac death or rehospitalization for worsening heart failure. The plasma PTX3 levels were significantly higher in CHF patients than in healthy subjects (p < 0.00...
متن کاملCardiac contractility modulation electrical signals improve myocardial gene expression in patients with heart failure.
OBJECTIVES The objective of this study was to test whether cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) electric signals induce reverse molecular remodeling in myocardium of patients with heart failure. BACKGROUND Heart failure is associated with up-regulation of myocardial fetal and stretch response genes and down-regulation of Ca(2+) cycling genes. Treatment with CCM signals has been associated w...
